Stylophora sp.
SPS
One of my favorite SPS frags, this was given to me by a friend here in Ithaca. This frag was part of the original batch of 6 that we introduced in March, approximately 6 months after the tank was setup. Picture was taken 8/01.

Acropora sp.
SPS
This frag is possibly the same species referred to as the "Bali Green Slimer". It has done well in the tank since being introduced in mid-March of 2001. Picture was taken 8/01.

Bubble Coral
LPS
This was the first LPS coral I ever owned, and has managed to do well in the tank despite a few mistakes on my part. It is now considerably larger then what you see in this picture. I target feed it by hand with a puree'd shrimp mixture soaked in Selco once per week. Click here for another picture showing a close up of the "mouth" area. You can also check out how the coral transforms at night when it goes into a hunting mode with tentacles extended.

Torch Coral
LPS
The torch was purchased in December of 2000 and has since almost doubled in size, making it arguably the centerpiece of the tank. I target feed bi-weekly with puree'd shrimp soaked in Selco. You can see a close up view of the tentacles here, the coral has about 7 heads and mouths now, having added two in the last 9 months.

Montipora Digitata
SPS
This frag is a bright green, though I have been told it will turn blue if I place it under more intense lighting. I have had it positioned much higher in the tank, but it seems to do better in this high current area near the bottom.. Picture was taken 8/20.

Xenia
I presently have 3 types of xenia in the tank. I've thought about building a "xenia scrubber" for nutrient removal. These things are truly the weed of the ocean. Very pretty, but they should be watched and kept from spreading. Heres another xenia type that is currenly living close the the top of the rocks.

Favia
Ever since I was a kid I've been fascinated by brain corals. There are at least 14 different species of favia and I am uncertain as to the one I have. It does have a very nice green color and seems to fair well though I only have PC lighting. I dose strontium occasionlly while keeping Ca at 450 ppm and my Alk up around 3.0 meq/l which I believe helps to keep it and my SPS healthy.
